PEMBROKE – Bryan County School officials revealed this week that they took unspecified disciplinary action Aug. 28 against a Bryan County High School student who posted a threat on social media to bring a weapon to school and harm other students, according to an internal investigation. A statement released by Paul Brooksher, superintendent of Bryan County schools, said immediate action was taken after administrators learned of the threat. The superintendent did not state what actions the district took against the student, but Bryan County Sheriff Clyde Smith said no one was taken into custody.
