SAVANNAH, Ga. (OS) — Former deputy sheriff Jason Kenny on Friday was sentenced to a month in custody to serve on weekends for his conviction of inflicting injury on inmate Mathew Ajibade at the Chatham County jail. Chatham County Superior Court Judge James F. Bass Jr. also directed that Kenny, 31, serve three years on probation after ruling that his actions involved “some infliction of discomfort,” to the detainee, who reportedly died just minutes after he was kicked in the head by Kenny.
