Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police investigators have partnered with Georgia Bureau of Investigation forensic artists to create a composite sketch of the suspect in a home invasion last month.

The incident occurred on August 30 at about 2 a.m. on the 200 block of West Park Avenue. The intruder entered the residence and confronted the male and female occupants. A scuffle ensued between the male victim and the intruder. The suspect may have been injured with a knife.  The intruder fired his gun, but no one was hit.   The male victim sustained serious but not life threatening injuries and the female victim was not hurt.  The victims ran to a neighbor’s house for help and the intruder fled.

The suspect is described as a black male in his late 20s, weighing 190-205 pounds. He has a short haircut and no facial hair. During the incident he wore a dark shirt and dark pants, possibly a security uniform. The intruder may have wounds to his shoulder or back and is believed to have left the scene in a light-colored mini-van.
