Savannah-Chatham school officials back at odds again despite peace pledge

Since school board president Jolene Byrne took office in January, she and superintendent Thomas Lockamy have engaged in blood and thunder battles over where to draw the line between administrative interference and good governance. Despite a public pledge Aug. 20 to put differences aside and work together, the truce was broken before they had a chance to publicly make up. Shortly after releasing their statement of cooperation, Byrne and Lockamy were at odds again.
