Savannah homicide suspect arrested in Wisconsin

henryPLATTEVILLE, WI – Tyron Henry, 20, was arrested Wednesday by U.S. Marshals in Platteville, WI, after Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police identified him as the suspect in the shooting death of Michael Anthony Johnson, 50, in July. Members of the U.S. Marshals Southeast Region Fugitive Task Force (SERTF) traced Henry to his Wisconsin hometown where he was arrested without incident.  Johnson was shot at the intersection of 42nd and Montgomery streets at about 11 p.m. on July 10. He was transported to the hospital where he died. Henry is now charged with murder and awaiting extradition to Savannah. Collaboration between SERTF, Metro’s U.N.I.T. and its Savannah Area Regional Intelligence Center resulted in Henry’s arrest.
