SAVANNAH, Ga. — Earlier this year, the superintendent of Savannah-Chatham County Public School System along with the elected school board asked for and received a property tax increase adding millions of dollars to the operations of a system that can really use the help.  So, as the tax payer who allows that board to have and to spend, you would hope they were spending all those millions wisely. Many are convinced the opposite is true. My investigation into a single business deal with the school system may have thrown $4 million in the trash. The superintendent considers that trash talk. But, you get to decide how valuable your student’s garbage really is.
