School job fair puts students to work

studentSome 500 Savannah-Chatham Public Schools students met with area employers Thursday, seeking jobs that would prepare them for their future or just bring in a little extra cash.More than 40 employers — from Gulfstream and Mock Plumbing to the U.S. military, Chick-fil-A and Kelly Services — set up shop at the public school system’s Fall Ready to Work Student Job Fair in the Savannah Mall.Jamel Kennedy and Saleem Hickman of Groves High stopped to speak with representatives from CPPI Construction. Both are looking for jobs that will help pursue degrees in engineering.
