contractSavannah-Chatham Public Schools officials are working to rectify reported discrepancies in their minority contracting participation report. Two weeks ago the district’s education sales tax construction project manager, Bill Huttinga of Parsons, reported that $26 million in ESPLOST II dollars had been awarded to 50 women and minority owned firms — about 25 percent of the $90 million that has been paid so far to construction managers at risk. But several of the minority sub-contractors who found their names on Huttinga’s list have complained that the numbers are inflated or untrue.
