Seventh annual Midnight Garden Ride set to run regardless of weather conditions

garden_rideDespite its name, the Midnight Garden Ride doesn’t really start at midnight. “It starts at 7 p.m., so it does require helmets and lights,” says John R. Bennett, executive director of the Savannah Bicycle Campaign, which sponsors the ride.  “The concept was dreamed up by Drew Wade, one of the co-founders and chairmen of the Savannah Bicycle Campaign. “It came out of a conversation about how fun it is to ride bikes at night in Savannah,” Bennett says. “It’s a pleasurable activity we want to share with as many people as we can.”
