Just three hours later, Ronald Hughes, 25, was shot while in his car by an unknown assailant about 6:32 p.m., according to reports. He sought assistance at a business located in the 4500 block of Montgomery Street and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

His car, a tan Malibu, was missing when officials arrived at the scene.

Investigation of both incidents continues.
