Tybee Island man charged with multiple drug felonies after meth bust

Edward Losey, 58, of Tybee Island was arrested and charged with various felonies

TYBEE ISLAND – A 58-year-old Tybee man has been charged with several felonies after a search revealed quantities of crystal methamphetamine at his residence Monday.

Edward Losey was arrested and charged with various felonies, including trafficking meth and possession of meth with intent to distribute.

The Chatham-Savannah Narcotics Team and the Tybee Island Police Department conducted the search of a house located in the 1300 block of Miller Avenue Monday. Agents seized an unspecified amount of crystal meth, items commonly associated with drug distribution and more than $5,000 in cash.

Losey is currently being held in the Chatham County Detention Center, and is expected to be arraigned Tuesday. Monday’s arrest is Losey’s 33rd booking in Chatham County, ninth drug-related charge and his third CNT arrest. Losey is currently serving a  sentence for a previous CNT conviction.
